The Index Industry Association (IIA)

The Index Industry Association (IIA) is a not-for-profit trade organization founded in 2012 to represent the global community of independent index providers. Its mission is to:

• Educate investors on the role and attributes of indexes in the investment process.
• Advocate for best practices, transparency, and independence in the indexing industry.
• Promote ethical standards and sound operational practices across the industry.

IIA members include major index providers like FTSE Russell, MSCI, S&P Dow Jones Indices, Morningstar, and Nasdaq, among others. The association also conducts industry surveys and research to provide insights into the global indexing landscape.
